What is a futon?

A futon is essentially a traditional Japanese style bed that can be easily folded away.

Most futon beds feature a pliable mattress and frame, allowing them to be stored away to free up space. This is why a futon bed also doubles up as the perfect guest bed.

What sizes are futon beds available in?

Our futons beds are available in two different sizes:

• Small single (2'6" x 6'3"): our small single futon beds are a comfortable option for guests, with the compact size taking up less room.
• Small double (4' x 6'3"): our small double futons can easily accommodate 2 sleepers, this size is space-saving, yet still offers sleepers room to stretch out.

What's the difference between a futon and a sofa bed?

The main difference between a futon and sofa bed is that futons have their mattresses outside the frame, whereas sofa beds tend to have their mattresses hidden underneath the structure to be pulled out when used.
