Joy Richards - June 7, 2019 Hi, I’m Joy - Happy Beds' Sleep Specialist. Aside from Italian food and my three lovely boys, nothing makes me happier than helping our customers find what works for them, and how they can make the most of their forty winks.

How to Create a Spa Feel in Your Bedroom

There is nowhere more relaxing than a spa. They’re purposely designed to help you chill out during your pamper sessions. So, why not try and bring a sense of this calming environment into your bedroom?

Here are a few ideas of spa décor for bedrooms – we’re sure you’ll love them!

Introduce Calming Scents

I don’t know about you, but there is nothing I love more than cuddling up in fresh sheets. They simply smell amazing! And besides freshening up your room, some scents are proven to have calming qualities.

Why not introduce some spa scents into your room with the use of candles, incense sticks, or an oil diffuser? Tea tree, aloe vera, ylang ylang and lavender are all favourites at spas. However, I also love sandalwood.

Display Fresh Flowers

Not only will flowers or a plant smell lush, but there are many purifying benefits of placing greenery in the bedroom. Plants can help regulate humidity levels, filter out air pollutants and improve air quality, produce oxygen, and reduce airborne dust levels. So, if you haven’t already, it may be worth picking up a pot or two!

If you’re looking for small spa room ideas, orchids, frangipani and roses are perfect.

Place a Bath in Your Bedroom

Imagine sitting in a soothing bath, a glass of wine in hand, admiring a beautiful view. Well, you can if you choose to fit a luxuriously deep tub in your bedroom.

Admittedly, this one is for those with a more spacious home, and a plumber on speed dial, but it is a must if you’re going to truly embrace the idea of spa décor for bedrooms.

Relax in Comfort

If a bath is a little too out there for you, why not invest in a comfortable new piece of furniture? Our duck egg blue Lambeth chair would be ideal. With its clean, crisp minimal design it will work in almost all interiors, plus it is small and compact, so it will fit in smaller spaces. Of course, this comes with no compromise for comfort.

Why not curl up here with a good book and a blanket, while you burn one of those calming candles I mentioned earlier?

If you’d prefer something a bit more spacious, we also have a great range of day beds here at Happy Beds. You’re sure to find one you’d love to lay out on.
