Sleeping is supportive and easy with a memory foam mattress
Memory foam mattresses are ideal for providing plenty of support throughout the night that is personalised to your body. That's because memory foam has a unique selling point in that it will mould to your body shape throughout the night thanks to your body heat, helping to relieve pressure on joints. This means that a memory foam mattress can benefit those who suffer from unfortunate aches after sleeping.
By choosing a memory foam mattress, you get the ultimate in technology as NASA initially developed it for astronauts to use in the 1970s. This means that not only are our memory foam mattresses soft to lay on, but they will also contour to your body and bounce back to their standard shape after use for long-lasting value!
What is a memory foam mattress?
A memory foam mattress is made from high-density foam specifically designed to mould your body throughout the night using your body heat. This means that you get the support personalised to your own body, which helps relieve any unfortunate pressure that you may experience whilst you sleep.
Memory foam mattresses can be the perfect choice for any bedroom, no matter the age of the sleeper or any health conditions they may have. Because a memory foam mattress encourages less movement, it is also an ideal choice for couples to ensure they don't get woken by accident!

Our memory foam mattresses are available to buy in the following popular sizes:
- Small single memory foam mattresses
- Single memory foam mattresses

Are there any memory foam mattresses with springs?
Some memory foam mattresses are called 'hybrid mattresses', meaning they combine a layer of comfortable memory foam with a spring structure. This provides you with a restful sleep with all the properties of a memory foam mattress whilst enjoying the high levels of support that a pocket spring mattress or open coil spring mattress offers!
Here at Happy Beds, we offer both types of spring mattresses in our hybrid mattresses range alongside some with reflex foam that has no springs in them. Make sure to read each product description carefully so that you choose the right mattress for your personal needs!
Are memory foam mattresses suitable for children and toddlers?
When choosing a mattress for your young one, we think it's important to do plenty of research around what will be the best type of mattress to use. Your child will be growing as they sleep, so they need the right amount of support and comfort for their growing bodies! We have some useful advice on how to choose the right bed for your child in our kids beds FAQs.
Whilst memory foam mattresses are fantastic for teenagers and adults to use, we wouldn't recommend them being used by children or toddlers. This is because a memory foam mattress is designed to contour to their body, meaning they are unlikely to be able to roll over in the middle of the night alongside your child constantly growing.
As well as this, there is the potential risk for a child or toddler to overheat whilst using a memory foam mattress. Whilst there are breathable memory foam mattresses available to purchase, we would advise against using one for a child or toddler as they are not as capable of regulating their body heat as adults are!
