Is the 17cm matresses are also ok to use with the trundle bed?
Asked By: Cigdem Akkaya on Jul 23 2018 11:05 AM
We do not recommend using a mattress deeper than 15cm for use on the trundle of the Toronto Guest Bed. It is recommended to purchase two of the same mattress as well so they sit flush when the trundle is raised.
Answered By: Happy Beds on Jul 24 2018 4:10 PM
Can you confirm the absolute maximum height the mattress can be please?
Asked By: Chris Brooker on May 30 2018 6:28 AM
We recommend a mattress of depth no more than 15cm so that the trundle is easy to use and that the top bed and the bottom bed sit flush when pulled up.

What is the bed height together with 15 cm mattress .Thanks
Asked By: Michaela Fabian on May 29 2018 7:53 AM
The Toronto Floor to Slats measurement is 33.5cm so adding a 15cm mattress it would have a sleeping height of 48.5cm.

are the slats sprung i.e. with plastic ends and slightly bowed?
Asked By: Kathleen Gall on May 9 2018 8:43 PM
The slats on the Toronto's main bed and guest bed are both solid slats, meaning they are straight and screw in on either side of the internal siderail.
Answered By: Happy Beds on May 10 2018 12:25 PM
When both beds are next to each other is there a way they can be interlocked so that they dont slip apart
Asked By: Jen on Feb 21 2018 8:30 PM
When the trundle of the Toronto Guest Bed is set up into a single bed, the wheels are no longer on the floor. Simply erecting the bed on a carpeted area will provide enough friction to keep the beds together.
Answered By: Happy Beds on Feb 22 2018 9:24 AM
Does the under bed have a spring to help lift it up with the mattress on top?
Asked By: Claire jones on Jan 23 2018 8:19 AM
The Toronto Guest Bed's pull out trundle is on a spring so it will automatically open as soon as the trundle is pulled out from the main bed.

Hi, you say in your title for this product, it is a guest bed. Is it, therefore, suitable for everyday use and for adults to use as a double? its for my daughter but i need to it last well into her teens and it will be frequently used by adults as a dou
Asked By: Caroline Croney on Jan 12 2018 10:46 PM
The title Guest Bed refers to the underbed trundle functionality. As you can see in the images, the mattress does come up to sit flush with the main bed's mattress but this is not a double size, it is a 180 cm x 190 cm.
Answered By: Happy Beds on Jan 15 2018 10:08 AM
Hi, Could the two beds be separated from one another? Can the trundle bed be moved to the other end of the room and have distance from the main bed?
Asked By: Ina on Oct 4 2017 12:05 PM
The trundle of the Toronto is completely separate from the main bed and can be placed anywhere in the room.
Answered By: Happy Beds on Oct 5 2017 10:01 AM
What is the distance between the slats on this bed? Looking at buying a mattress which is 25 cm tall and specifies slats cannot be more than 5cm apart.
Asked By: Martin on Oct 2 2017 10:42 AM
The Toronto Guest Bed has slats that are 7.5cm apart. A 25 cm mattress would also be too tall to fit into the trundle, the maximum recommended height for trundle use is 15 cm.
Answered By: Happy Beds on Oct 2 2017 11:58 AM
When the trundle bed is set up next to the main bed is there a gap between the mattresses or do they sit flush together? I want a trundle that makes a double without a gap in the middle.
Asked By: Nicola Robinson on Sep 24 2017 8:11 PM
The Toronto White Wooden Guest Bed's Trundle sits as close to the main bed as you like. Together, the two mattresses make a super king size (6 foot) and can take a bed sheet that fits accordingly.
Answered By: Happy Beds on Sep 25 2017 10:06 AM
Is it possible to see a picture of the slats below the mattess? I have had a problem with slats shifting before and plastic ends breaking. Would these be replaceable?
Asked By: Anita on Sep 7 2017 12:09 PM
Unfortunately the photographs on the website are given to us by the manufacturer but the 5 year guarantee will cover the Toronto's slats.

Is it possible to have two foot boards instead of a headboard? Reason being I have an attic room and need both ends to be low for storage. When in use I can just pull both of them out. Thank you.
Asked By: Katharine on Aug 25 2017 8:44 PM
The Toronto White Wooden Guest Bed is not available with two footboards instead of a headboard and footboard.
Answered By: Happy Beds on Aug 29 2017 9:55 AM
In order for the trundle to sit flush with the main bed do the mattresses have to be the same thickness or can the main bed have a thicker mattress?
Asked By: Juliette on Aug 19 2017 8:02 PM
The recommended thickness for both the bottom and the top mattress on the Toronto Guestbed is 15cm.
Answered By: Happy Beds on Aug 21 2017 9:48 AM
What is the width of the bed when it's made into a double?
Asked By: Charlotte Morris on Aug 17 2017 6:18 PM
The Toronto Guest Bed's trundle can exist separately from the bed. The width of the main bed is 100.5cm and the width of the trundle is 93cm making the extended length 193.5cm.
Answered By: Happy Beds on Aug 18 2017 9:06 AM
Can the trundle be adjusted to come out either side of the bed or will it only pull out one way?
Asked By: Alexandare Demain on Aug 15 2017 3:35 PM
The Toronto's trundle guest bed configured for access on either the left or the right side of the bed.

The Star Mattress is 15cm in depth so as long as it is bought as a 3ft single it will fit into the Toronto Guest Bed.
Answered By: Happy Beds on Aug 8 2017 4:26 PM
Will 2standard ikea mattresses (80 x.200) be suitable for the toronto trundle bed please? Thanks
Asked By: Wendy on Aug 6 2017 3:58 PM
The Toronto Guest Bed is fitted for a standard UK size 3ft mattress which is only 190cm long so an EU mattress would be too long.
Answered By: Happy Beds on Aug 7 2017 10:57 AM
Will this fit a standard size length single mattress? (90x190cm)
Asked By: Dawn on Jul 16 2017 8:42 AM
The Toronto Guest bed fits a standard 3FT single mattress (90 x 190cm). There is also a maximum depth of 15cm for the trundle bed.
Answered By: Happy Beds on Jul 17 2017 1:07 PM
Hi, is the top mattress a standard size or does this have to be slightly longer to accommodate the mattress beneath?
Asked By: Mark Saunders on Jul 1 2017 7:39 AM
The bed can house two identical sized mattresses and these mattresses could even be swapped over provided they are the same thickness. The recommended maximum thickness of mattress for the trundle is 15cm.
Answered By: Happy Beds on Apr 7 2017 12:17 PM
What's the maximum thickness mattress size this bed will take please?
Asked By: Wendy Huynh on Jun 13 2017 2:29 PM
The Maximum sized mattress that can fit on the bottom trundle is 15cm. This allows the trundle to close.
