What type of mattress should a back sleeper use?

  • Orthopaedic mattresses – an orthopaedic mattress is perfect for back sleepers, as it has been specifically designed to help sleepers with back pain. As such, you'll get a mattress that gives you the right support for your sleeping position and ensures you have a healthy spinal alignment.
  • Hybrid mattresses - if you're looking for the perfect blend of foam and spring mattress benefits, a hybrid mattress is the answer. They're great for back sleepers as they combine a spring mattress's high support with a foam mattress's custom support!

Medium-firm mattresses, in particular, have a rigid structure that provides support but is still comfortable enough to offer plenty of sleep. It's important to note that what works for one person might not work for another, so do plenty of research to ensure you don't buy the wrong mattress!
