Is my room big enough for a king-size bed frame?
Generally, a bedroom that is 400cm or more in width and length will fit a king-size bed frame. However, this is just a guide. Get the measuring tape to know if a king-size bed fits your space! Using the measurements above, you should indicate how much room you need.
Typically, the actual size of the bed will be larger than those measurements. Once you factor in the frame, headboard and foot end, it adds a few centimetres to the overall size. So, if there's a specific king-size bed frame you have your eye on, we'd always recommend checking the precise dimensions of that frame.
To be sure, read our bed size guide for more information. If you opt for a king-size storage bed, make sure to factor in the frame's unique features - for instance, if your king-size bed frame has side drawers, you'll need space for them to open. At the same time, this may seem like extra space to account for, but a king-size storage bed can help you save on space elsewhere by eliminating the need for some freestanding furniture.
