Pillow Top Mattresses

Have you ever dreamt of sleeping on a cloud? While Happy Beds can’t turn clouds into beds, we have the second-best option: pillow top mattresses. What is a pillow top mattress?

Pillow top mattresses have an extra layer of super soft padding sewn to the top of the mattress. This layer is typically made of foam, down, or fibrefill, adding around 1-4 inches of thickness to the mattress. The main benefit of a pillow top mattress is its luxurious comfort. Still, many find pillow top mattresses offer better cooling than other mattresses or mattress toppers.

Our pillow top mattresses have a soft pillowy feel, perfect for sinking into after a long day. You can choose from various sizes, styles, and fillings, giving our pillow top mattresses a bespoke feel. We have memory foam, reflex foam and hybrid mattresses in sizes ranging from small single (2'6” x 6'3”) to super king size (6' x 6'6”).

Why choose a pillow top mattress?

Pillow top mattresses are best known for their luxurious comfort but offer many more benefits. A pillow top mattress is usually best for side sleepers - these sleepers put a lot of weight on their hips and shoulders, which can cause aching when met with too much pressure from a firm mattress. A pillow top mattress's additional, plush comfort negates much of this pressure for a more comfortable sleep.

How many years does a pillow top mattress last?

The very nature of a pillow top mattress means that it’s not hard-wearing. Designed to be super-soft, the pillow top part of the mattress will naturally compress and become less effective with heavy use. This means a typical pillow top mattress lasts 3-5 years if used daily. Their short life span is balanced with their more affordable price and the luxuriously comfortable benefits for side sleepers.
