Bunk Beds

A bunk bed is a bed frame with two or more beds stacked vertically, allowing multiple sleepers to occupy the same floor space. Bunk beds are popular for homes with limited space, such as shared bedrooms or box rooms. The primary purpose of a bunk bed is to maximise and efficiently use available floor space without overcrowding a room - especially for families with multiple children or those who regularly host guests.

Given their height, all our bunk beds conform to the current safety standards (British Safety Standard BS EN 747:2012 + A1 2015). Plenty of safety features ensure children are safe when using a bunk bed, including guard rails to prevent your child from rolling out of bed or getting stuck between the bunk and the mattress.

There are many things to consider when buying a bunk bed, including safety. One thing to think about is the age of the children who will be sleeping in it. Bunk beds are recommended for children aged 4+ for the bottom bunk and 6+ for the top bunk. So, if your kids are any younger, you should stick with a toddler bed or a small single for now.

It's important to note that any mattress you buy for a bunk bed should be no higher than 16cm in height. This ensures that safety railings can work as intended to reduce the risk of accidents.
