Sleep Stations: Beds with Desks
Perfect for children’s rooms, sleep stations are multifunctional beds. Not only do they provide a comfortable night’s kip, but kids' sleep stations also offer built-in storage solutions, so there’ll be no excuse for messy bedrooms. A sleep station is ideal if your child’s bedroom is on the small side. You won’t have to splash out on additional storage, such as a bookcase; this will perfectly integrate into the stylish children’s bed frame.
A versatile addition to your child’s bedroom
Little ones often have the smallest room in the house but, ironically, the most stuff! Our sleep stations are perfect if you need to save space and bring some order to your child’s bedroom. Discover beds with desks - both pull-out and built-in underneath - to give them a place to study, or opt for a bed frame with built-in storage. Cupboards, drawers and shelves are ideal places to store or display an ever-growing toy collection!
What is a sleep station?
A sleep station is much like a cabin bed in that they feature a lot of storage solutions underneath the sleeping area. This encourages young sleepers to keep a tidy and organised space! The difference between a sleep station and a cabin bed is that the storage provided with a cabin bed is located directly underneath the sleeping area, and often these beds don't come with a pull-out desk.
Sleep stations are also a good option if you lack floor space, as all the storage features are integrated into the bed frame, creating a compact space with lots of storage.
What age is suitable for a sleep station?
We recommend that our kids' sleep stations be used by children aged 6 and over.
If you need clarification on what kids' bed is suitable for your child, we also have a kids' bed buying guide full of information on our range of kids' beds to help you decide.
Do sleep stations have different storage options available?
Our range of kids' sleep stations comes with a lot of storage options available:
- Bookcase/shelves storage: open shelving units for displaying books and other smaller items such as medals
- Side drawer storage: pull-out drawers with more space for clothes or toys
- Cupboard storage: a large storage area for bigger items such as games or blankets
What sizes are sleep stations available in?
Our range of sleep stations is available in two sizes:
- Single (3' x 6'3"): the traditional size used in children's beds. Our single beds provide a comfortable place for children to rest.
- European single (3' x 6'6"): slightly larger than single beds, our European Single beds are perfect for growing children needing more room.
Why choose a bed with a desk?
Children’s bedrooms are multipurpose spaces where they play, sleep and study. Cramming all of the furniture and toys required to do this can often leave their bedroom short on space.
Choosing a bed with a desk underneath, either pull-out or built-in, is a great option, as you can combine two pieces of furniture to save space. A bed with a pull-out desk is a perfect choice as after they’ve finished studying, they can tidy the desk away to shut off and relax.
Having a bed with a desk gives your child a dedicated place to study so they can focus on their homework and assignments without distraction.
