What is a double-sided mattress?

As the name suggests, double-sided mattresses have two sides to sleep on, built from the core out. The core, which may be pocket springs or an open coil spring structure, will feature layers of foam and other fillings on both the core's top and bottom. This means you will get the same support on either side of the mattress!

In comparison, traditional single-sided mattresses are built from the bottom up, with the base and support at the bottom and a comfortable sleep surface at the top. These mattresses are not designed for flipping and should only be rotated as recommended.
