Bed Delivery Guide

Whether you've already found a new bed you adore, or you're thinking about placing an order, you need to consider delivery. And, if you have any questions about the delivery of your new bed, we've got you covered! From bed delivery times to how to prepare for your bed delivery, read on for everything you need to know about getting a new bed delivered.

How long does a bed take to deliver?

At Happy Beds, we work with a range of couriers to make sure there are plenty of bed delivery options available. If you need your new bed quickly, we offer a number of specific day bed delivery options from Monday through to Sunday.

Can I get a bed with next-day delivery?

We do offer a next working day delivery service on selected beds, depending on the product and your location. Our beds all come with a delivery checker at the checkout stage, so you can see the options available for your specific product.

Will you deliver my bed to my bedroom?

If you're worried about getting your bed to your bedroom, we offer some delivery options where you can select the room of your choice. These require two men but mean your bed can be delivered upstairs and straight to your bedroom - minimal effort from you required! You can see the pricing options for our specific room bed deliveries below.

How much is bed delivery?

Our bed delivery service ranges from £10 to £45, depending on how quickly you need your bed delivered, whether you want delivery to a specific room, whether you need a specific day delivery, and how many people are needed to deliver the order. Our standard bed delivery is your cheapest option if you don't need your bed to arrive on a specific day.

Standard bed delivery

£10

With standard delivery, you may be given the option to choose a specific day. This depends on stock levels and your location. If not, you will be offered a window of dates and your courier will book a date with you. Please note that our standard bed delivery service is only available on the ground floor.

Specific day bed delivery (1-man)

£15

Our cheapest set day delivery is £15. This option allows you to book a specific day, Monday to Friday. As it is a one-man delivery, it will be made to the ground floor.

Specific day, 2-man bed delivery (Monday to Friday)

£25

This delivery option allows you to choose a day from Monday to Friday. As it is a two-man delivery, your bed can be delivered to the room of your choice.

Saturday bed delivery (1-man)

£40

If you'd like Saturday delivery, our £40 option delivers your bed to the ground floor.

Saturday or Sunday bed delivery (2-man)

£45

This is our most flexible delivery option. It allows you to choose delivery on the weekend, and your bed can be delivered to the room of your choice.

Will my bed arrive flat packed?

Many of our beds come flat packed for a faster, more straightforward delivery process - you can see on each individual product description whether the item will arrive flat packed or pre-assembled. We want to make the process as stress-free as possible, so if your bed is flat packed, it will come with easy-to-follow instructions for assembly. You can also find detailed assembly products on each product page, so you can have a look before you even make a purchase.

How do I prepare for bed delivery?

So, once you've placed your order, how do you prepare for your bed delivery? While we'll handle the delivery side of things, there are a few things you can do in preparation to make the process of getting your new bed as seamless as possible.

Measure your space

While it goes without saying you need to ensure your bed will fit into your bedroom, it's also important to consider other areas of your home for the delivery. We'd recommend measuring your hallway and any spaces our couriers will need to pass through, to ensure your bed will fit. If you've ordered specific room delivery and there are any obstructions, these will need to be moved before your bed arrives.

Make sure someone is in

When you order your bed, you'll either be able to choose a specific delivery time or be given an estimated date and time - it's important you make arrangements and ensure someone is home to accept the delivery. If you are not in, you may be charged for redelivery.

Clear room for your bed

If you're getting your bed delivered straight to the bedroom, make sure you leave plenty of room. If you're replacing an old bed, move this before your delivery date, and ensure rugs, lamps and other furniture aren't obstructing the space or making it difficult for our couriers to manoeuvre.

Double check your contact details

Your courier may need to get in touch when the delivery arrives or call you beforehand with questions, so ensure your contact details, including your phone number, are correct. You should also check your delivery address and make sure any special instructions (e.g. park at the back of the house, ring the buzzer) are clear.
